8.29.21 목양실에서 (Words from the Pastor)

영성일기. 8월 25일

"저는 담임목사예요" "부목사님도 있고 강전도사님도 있어요" "저는 담임목사라니까요" 오늘 낮에 어느분에게 한 말이다.

채삼선권사님께서 옆구리가 신경쓰이게 아파서 위와 대장검사를 했다고 한다. 그런데 대장에서 4cm 이상의 혹이 발견 되었는데 의사말에 조직검사 결과는 안 나왔지만 암일 가능성이 많다고 한다. 몇해전에 암치료를 받았기에 암일 확률이 그 누구보다 농후하다. 그리고 오늘이 조직검사 결과가 나오는 날이다. 권사님 연락받고 암은 아닐것이라고 이야기 했지만 내가 걱정되었다. 충성된 사람인데.. 그리고 교회에 아픈분도 많고 이런 저런일로 어려운데 채권사님까지 암이면 어쩌나..거기다 혹이 크다니 혹시 암이면 전이되지는 않았을까..요 몇일 이일로 마음이 무거웠다. 게다가 아내는 위험한 지역으로 오늘 오후 늦게 선교를 떠난다. 이런 저런일로 내안에서 평강을 잃어서인지, 이해해 줄 분이라고 여겨서인지, 별일 아닌것 같고 큰소리를 쳤다.

채권사님이 2시 30분에 의사를 방문한다고 했는데... 1시간이 지나도, 3시간이 지나도 연락이 없다. 결과가 안좋은가 보다. 그래서 먼길 떠나는 아내를 밝은 표정으로 못보내고 공항에서도 어색하게 허그한후 보내었다. 기다리다 못해 6시가 넘어 채권사님께 전화했다. 솔직히 용기가 필요했다. 권사님이 전화를 받으신다. 내가 듣고 싶은 이야기는 한가지인데 권사님은 많이 기다리다보니지금 막 병원에서 왔다고 하신다. ..

다시 용기내어 어떻대요? 하고 물으니.. "암은 아니래요" 할렐루야...나도 모르게 큰 소리로 감사해 했다.

암은 아니지만 덩어리가 커서 수술로 제거 해야 한다고 한다. 서로 하나님께 감사하며 계속 기도하기로 약속하고 끊었다.

아내로부터 "비행기가 조금 delayed 되었지만 옆에 사람이 없어 3자리를 차지하고 누워 간다면서 벌써 하나님이 신경써 준다"고 카톡이 왔다. 잠자리에 들기전 한국에서 섬기던 교회 박목사님으로부터 "7월 8월 교육국 주관으로 특새를 하면서 각 가정이 매칭하여 목회자 50명에게 가족과 함께 식사할수 있도록 20만원 보내주기로 했는데 내가 생각나서 연락한다며 은행계좌를 알려 달라"고 한다.

아비멜렉도, 가일도, 세겜사람들도 자기 방법으로 일어나서, 자기방법으로 무엇인가 이루려 했지만 결국 하나님의 방법으로 되이지는 것이 오늘 사사기 큐티 본문 이었다. 교회도 가정도 살다보면 시끄러울수 있다. 그런데 나는 잠시 보이는 것에 애간장을 녹인다. 그러나 확실한것은 하나님의 약속이다. 그리고 그 약속은 나를 향해 하나님은 아름다운 계획을 가지고 계신다는 것이다. 그래서 하루를 마감하며 믿음없음을 안타까워 하며 "하나님께 은사적 믿음을 구해본다."

Spiritual Journal 8/25

"I am a head pastor." "There is an assistant pastor, pastor Kang" "I am the head pastor" Someone said this to me this afternoon.

Elder Chae said her side was aching so much. So she went to the hospital and the doctor told her there is a 4cm tumor found in her large intestine. Most likely it is a cancer. She has been treated in surgery for cancer so for her to receive this result is very odd. And today it was a day to find out the whether she has a cancer or not. I was very worried. I thought she devoted her life to God, but if she does have cancer… I had such a heavy heart. On top of that my wife will leave for missions in a dangerous area this late evening.

Elder Chae visited the doctor at 2:30PM. After 1, 2, and 3 hours there was no reply. I thought, maybe she got a negative result. I couldn't greet my wife well in the airport also. After 6pm I called her. She told me she just came out from the hospital. When I asked her how was it? She said "It is not a cancer"

Hallelujah.. I was so thankful and shouted in a loud voice.

It is not a cancer but she had to go through a surgery to remove the tumor. We hung up after saying that I would continue to pray.

My wife texted me that the plane is delayed but there are no passengers next to her so she will go very comfortably lying down. Already God is taking care of her.

Before going to bed, Pastor Park from the old church in korea said "In July and August, there have been special morning prayer and for 50 pastoring family, we will send $200 for them to have family meals.

Abimelech, people from Segem they all wanted to fulfill things through their way but at the end it was fulfilled through God's way when we look at the scripture of Judges. Church and family it can get busy. Thing that are being seen can shake me but what is unshakeable is the promise of God. That promise towards me says that God has a beautiful plan for me. That is why, when I finish the day today having no faith, I pray that God would give me the gift of faith.

I will be good in the hands of God.
