4.11.21 목양실에서 (A Note From the Pastor)

올 여름 EM과 YOUTH가 "시리아 난민 영어캠프"를 위해 단기선교를 간다고 합니다. 그래서 선교위원회와 남,여선교회 주관으로 오늘 토요일에 단기선교 기금마련(목표액 $5,000이상)을 위해 Crawfish Boil을 하려고 합니다.

코로나바이러스로 움츠러들었던 우리가 다른 어떤 것이 아니라 선교하는 일에 한마음이 되어 움직일 수 있다는 사실이 너무나 의미가 있으며 모든 것이 Stop 되어지고 두려움에 빠진 한인사회에 제일 먼저 믿음의 공동체인 교회가 한인사회에 활력이 되도록 문을 열 수 있다는 사실이 감사합니다. 그래서 이번 Crawfish Boil을 준비하면서 제일 우선순위에 두는 것은 선교기금 마련을 위한 것임에도 안전과 화합입니다. Crawfish도 시중보다 파운드당 $2 저렴하게 판매할 예정입니다.

정말 기대하는 것은 1년 이상 움츠러들었던 이 땅에 하나님의 성령이 운행함으로 새로운 역사가 시작되는 출발점이 우리교회의 Crawfish Boil이 되어지길 소원해봅니다. 그래서 모든 성도님들께 부탁합니다.

'모든 성도들은 사역을 행함에 있어서 자원함과 즐거운 뜻으로 하며 (베전 5:2)' '평강 중에 감사함으로 행하여야 한다(골 3:17)'는 말씀처럼 온 성도님들의 즐거운 참여와 관심으로 이번 선교바자회가 진행되도록 해주시길 부탁합니다.

그래서 우리교회가 모델로 삼는 안디옥교회처럼 믿음의 큰 모범을 보여 선교의 역사와 성령의 역사가 나타나는 교회가 되어 안디옥교회처럼 "진짜 그리스도인"이라는 별명을 얻기를 소원해 봅니다.

이 아름다운 일에 모든 분들이 시간을 내어 1시간이라도 봉사해주시고 시간 내기가 어려우신 분들은 잠깐이라도 들러 봉사하는 분들을 격려해 주시길 부탁합니다.

우리는 순종하고 하나님은 역사하신다.

2021 Crawfish Boil 선교바자회

일 시: 2021년 4월 17일(토) 오전 10시

(준비는 오전 7시부터 시작합니다.)

장 소: 휴스턴 순복음교회 주차장

품 목: Crawfish(1,500lb), 붕어빵, 떡볶이, 오뎅국,

음료수(콜라, 사이다, 밀키스등)

총 진행: 김승철 선교위원장, 이인식 남선교회 회장 This summer the EM and Youth are going to a short-term mission to hold a English camp for Syrian Refugees. And so the missions committee and the Men’s and Women’s ministry organized a Crawfish Boil this Saturday to raise a target goal of $5000.

The fact that we, who had suffered from the coronavirus, can move together in unity for missions work, is very meaningful. Even though everything had stopped and there was a lot of fear, the fact that our church, the community of faith, can open the door for the Korean community, I am very thankful. So while preparing for the Crawfish Boil, the first priority is safety and harmony, even though it is to raise for a mission fund. Crawfish will also be sold for $2 cheaper per pound than the current market price.

What I am really looking forward to is to see the Holy Spirit of God to work in this land, that has shrunk for more than a year, and that the starting point of a new history will be the crawfish boil of our church. And so I ask all of the saints of our church to participate in this together.

Like in 1 Peter 5:12 that says ” not because you must, but because you are willing, and Colossians 3:17 “giving thanks to God the Father through him.” I pray that all the saints will participate and focus on the mission bazaar pleasantly.

Like the Antioch church in which our church is modeling, I hope to become a church where the work of missions and the work of the Holy Spirit appears by showing a great example of faith and gaining the name “Real Christians” just like the Antioch Church.

I ask everyone to take the time to volunteer for an hour for this beautiful work, and for those who have difficulty finding time, stop by even for a short time and encourage the volunteers.

When we obey, God makes history.

2021 Crawfish Boil Missions Bazaar
